Data Lab

In 2013, the IJR will be conducting the 13th round of the SA Reconciliation Barometer survey.

Since 2003, the survey has provided a rich and reliable data source on reconciliation in South Africa, with socio-political indicators on issues of political culture, race relations, human security, dialogue and historical confrontation.

While we conduct detailed analysis of the survey results every year, the IJR is committed to the principles of broadening theory and research related to the study of reconciliation.

Interested researchers, academics, students, and civil society organisations may apply to the  IJR for access to past Barometer datasets by contacting Kate Lefko-Everett – leave a comment on the blog, call on +27 21 763 7128, or send an email to kate -at- ijr.org.za.

    Good afternoon,
I am looking for access to any of the years of the barometers datasets. I would like to use this during my graduate work at the University of British Columbia (Canada). I would need access in advance of October 4, 2011 so if this is possible please email me back at the enclosed address. I will be calling the IJR as soon as possible with the same request.
    Thank you,
    Charlotte Kingston
